Hello

This project is a natural extension of all of my passions—a place for women to gather, move, create, breathe, and come back to themselves. Thanks for being here. I’m so glad we found each other.

My Story

Hi, I’m Mal—photographer, educator, artist, and owner of the heart this idea landed in.

I created this space out of a deep belief in the power of slow, intentional living. I hold a Master’s degree from Kent State University, where I focused on studio art, psychology, and how humans grow, connect, and make meaning in their lives—especially through nature, creativity, and community.

In 2014, after stumbling into the minimalism movement and taking a life-changing 4-week road trip out West, my husband and I packed up our lives (plus three cats) and hit the road full-time in a camper. For three years, we lived nomadically—chasing sunsets, learning to live with less, and rediscovering what it means to be present, and feel spacious in our lives.

Now rooted back in Ohio, I split my time between photographing people and brands I believe in, nurturing community spaces like this one, and getting my hands in the dirt. I’m a runner, a yogi, a gardener, and a lover of anything that involves trees, trail maps, or a good mug of coffee outside.

I'm also a facilitator of workshops that range from photography and drawing to intuitive painting for stress relief and self-discovery. I’m the proud creator of a weekly run club and a monthly art club—spaces built to bring people together through movement, creativity, and conversation that actually matters.
